We’ll be offering baptisms at both celebrations (9am & 11am) on Sunday, October 29th. We believe baptisms are an outward expression of the inward transformation we’ve already experienced in Christ. If you are interested in being baptized, or have questions, please contact Greg Williams at

belong campaign

When we belong to Jesus, we belong to His larger family that takes care of each other and invites others in to pursue community and growth together. Here are two special ways that we want to encourage and take care of each other other during the Belong series.

  • Freedom Workshops. Come out to learn and practice the skills needed to experience more freedom in your daily life and how you can use these skills to help others. These workshops will go for 8 weeks and will be offered Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 pm starting August 31st, and Saturdays from 9:00-11:00 am starting August 2nd. Spots are limited per night. If you are interested, contact Greg Williams for an application form

  • Professional Counseling Scholarships. If you are interested in receiving one of our scholarships for free professional counseling, contact Greg Williams to set up a time to sit down and discuss

Care center volunteer opportunity

The Care Center is a resource center that happens right here at Northstar on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month. At the Care Center, we provide community, assistance, connection to resources and encouragement to practically move ahead in life as we care for the whole person. Volunteers are needed to serve our guests as Table Hosts. This is an opportunity to share snacks and conversation around the table as we create a fun and encouraging environment at The Care Center. Training is provided for all of our roles. If you’re interested in serving, please contact Greg Knake at 513-205-5864 or at or sign-up at the table in the café.

A Discipleship Huddle is a training group of 3-4 people that teaches discipleship strategies to help us be more intentional in living like Jesus. Huddles focus on learning to hear the voice of God. Huddles typically last 9-12 months and meet 2-4 times per month. They are both organized and organic while providing high challenge to change and high invitation into real relationships. For more information, please contact Adam Kasel at

men's retreat

Men's Retreat Men can be competitive and driven. We are hardwired to win. It is in our DNA. If that is the case, why is it that in many aspects of life we feel like we are losing? Come join us for an overnight retreat where we will dive into this topic. We will make space to reflect on the different areas where we are thriving and where we are struggling. We will work to discover the unique identity that God has given us, and learn some practical steps to take in order to live out that identity in all areas of life. That way, we will be able to win at what matters. We will also have lots of free time to get to know each other and play a bunch of games (including Bazooka Ball!). The retreat begins Friday night, November 10th at 6pm with dinner, and will wrap up by 3pm on Saturday, November 11th. The cost is $65 and includes all food and luxurious bunkbed accommodations. Pathfinders Volunteer Opportunity

All children need an adult to help with homework, listen when they have a problem, and push them to be their best so Pathfinders, a program of the Care Center, pairs fatherless boys and girls in our community with an encouraging mentor. Mentors are positive role models, that encourage life-long learning, and remind kids that they have what it takes to be successful in life. Training is provided and this is a one year commitment. We are currently in need of additional male and female mentors for kids who are waiting to be paired. If you’re interested in getting involved in either of these opportunities please contact Greg Knake at 513-205-5864 or
