Life isn't designed to be lived alone. Connect with others through ministries, classes, programs and more.
Northstar is a community of believers who value intimacy with God and connection with others through intentional discipleship and authentic relationships. Northstar offers a place to connect with Jesus, grow in your understanding of your identity in Christ, serve others and find meaningful connection through community. A passion for spiritual growth, connection and community are cornerstone values at Northstar. We are created to grow, worship and experience Jesus within community. It's there that we can truly thrive and become the people God created us to be. Jump into one of these opportunities below and experience the joy of authentic community.
Micro Churches meet one Sunday morning each month in homes for a deeper community experience of our normal Sunday celebration. We watch the live video of the Sunday service in a small group setting (10-30 people) while offering creative ways to worship, pray, and invest in our children. prophetic prayer & communion
Every few months, we host a corporate time of hearing from God and remembering His promises. We meet in the auditorium from 7-9pm quarterly on Friday nights to experience corporate prayer and communion. A brief time of worship and reflection will lead us to a time where we invite God to speak to us through His word, His Spirit and His people. Join us for this unique prayer experience. Contact Rusty Geverdt at firstname.lastname@example.org
The School of kingdom ministry
The number one reality Jesus spoke about is the Kingdom of God. He wants his followers to minister to one another and others in this reality. This may seem scary or intimidating but it doesn't have to be. In fact we can be naturally supernatural. If you'd like to learn how then the School of Kingdom Ministry is for you. the Story-formed life
The Story-Formed Life is a discipleship training tool that exposes that invites us to enter into an epic story in which God himself is the central character. The Story deepens our faith. The key concept is understanding that we are living in God’s story and not our own. And if we truly grasp that truth, everything should change. We’ll be walking through the Scriptures to help make this discovery over the 10 weeks. The Story-Formed Life is offered twice per year. For more info, contact Adam Kasel at email@example.com or 513.668.0485.
It takes dozens of volunteers to keep everything running smoothly at Northstar. Consider regularly serving at Northstar during a Sunday morning gathering or during the week. Children's ministry, prayer team, greeters/hospitality, parking lot attendants, facility maintenance, youth ministry and the coffee team are just a few of the areas in need of volunteers. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
A Discipleship Huddle is a training group of 3-4 people that teaches discipleship strategies to help us be more intentional in living like Jesus. Huddles focus on learning to hear the voice of God. Huddles typically last 9-12 months and meet 2-4 times per month. They are both organized and organic while providing high challenge to change and high invitation into real relationships. Contact Adam Kasel at email@example.com.
At Northstar, we believe baptism is the outward expression of an inward spiritual transformation that has already occurred through Jesus. If you are interested in being baptized at Northstar during a Sunday morning service or at another time, please contact Greg Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org or 513.317.6901.
Several times each year, Northstar offers baby dedications during a special Saturday night celebration. We view baby dedications as an opportunity for the parents of the dedicated child to publicly commit to raising their child to follow Jesus. For specific dates, contact Amy Reger, children's pastor, at email@example.com.
